Donkey Beach Mixed crowd, but still a local gay favorite. In the past, this has been a popular beach for nude sunbathing. Be advised that while nude sunbathing is popular here, nude beaches are not legal in Hawaii. Also, some local goody-two-shoers have been complaining to the police and they have been checking the area more frequently. As an alternative, you're perfectly welcome to run around naked in our backyard! Visitors are also advised not to leave valuables in their car. Rent-a-car break-ins are a real problem on Kauai.
